Gallery 1,2, Los Angeles' freshest face in the gallery scene, debuted with a dramatic splash at the Los Angeles Art Show and Art Contemporary Los Angeles this past weekend. Due to space and taste restrictions, Gallery 1,2 was relegated to each respective art fair's restrooms, where the gallery received a "sitting ovation" from both critics and attendees alike. "Lights, Camera, Teddy! has not only redefined contemporary art as we know it, the gallery itself has removed itself from the traditional confines of space, place and taste", remarked noted art critic and historian, Barry Dingle. Gallery 1,2's art fair debut followed anticipatory announcements in the Los Angeles TimesCalendar section, as well as a 'heads-up' from both art fair's highly diligent security teams on the lookout for suspicious individuals attempting entry. Over the course of the weekend, several teddy bears were taken into custody for questioning, but ultimately released on their own recognizance to tearful toddlers and their angry parents.
